The First International Session of the Russell Tribunal on Palestine was concluded during an international press conference on March 3, 2010 within the Illustre Collegi d’Advocats of Barcelona. This first session, which aimed to analyze the responsibilies of the European Union and its Member States in the violations of the international law in Israel and Palestine, hands over to London, which will organise in October 2010 a new session of this citizen-based Tribunal of conscience. This new rendezvous in the United Kingdom will examine the responsibilities of international companies and corporations, as recalled by Pierre Galand who spoke on behalf of the International Organizing Committee of the Tribunal, at the beginning of the presentation of the conclusions of the Jury.

Four members of the Jury read the conclusions: the emeritus judge of the Spanish Supreme Court, Jose Antonio Martín Pallín, the 1976 Nobel Peace Prize Mairead Corrigan-Maguire, the French lawyer and former Ambassador to UNESCO Gisele Halimi and the anti-apartheid leader and former South-African minister Ronald Kasrils.
